APPRENTICE GREENKEEPER

Certificate III in Horticulture

 

The Wests Entertainment Group has a full time position vacant for an apprentice greenkeeper.

Do you;

  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Enjoy communicating with people
  • See yourself maintaining high quality sports turfs such as cricket and rugby league.
  • Hold a current NSW Drivers license

 

This is a unique opportunity to study in an area where your skill and training has Australian and International recognition. This training offers opportunities as groundspersons, curators, assistant managers and managers within the turf industry.

The successful applicant will undertake studies at Kurri Kurri TAFE with a block release of four days per month.

Qualified Chef & Cook

Two exciting opportunities have arisen for a motivated and professional Qualified Chef and a Cook.

As the successful candidate you will have extensive experience and a successful track record in the hospitality industry. We are high volume catering venues  with two restaurants, two cafes and numerous function facilities. We seek people with a commitment to continual improvement of quality and consistency in all products, with exceptional communications and interpersonal skills.

 

Selection Criteria: Chef

  • Trade qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring
  • Experience in menu planning and costing
  • Experience in rostering
  • The ability to work days, evenings and weekends on a rotating roster.

 

Selection Criteria: Cook

  • Must be available days, evenings and weekends
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Have previous cooking experience in restaurants and cafes
  • Must be motivated
  • Barista experience
